Your Trainers

Claris D'cruz, Claris D'cruz Ltd
Claris has over 25 years’ experience as a governance lawyer and trainer advising charities, of all sizes, on a wide range of governance and constitutional issues.
She worked 'at the coalface' as an in-house legal adviser for a registered charity, and then on the other side of the fence as a Charity Commission lawyer, before going into private practice.
Claris is also an experienced trustee/NED with over 15 years’ experience on a range of charity and not-for-profit boards. Claris’ mission is to support trustees and senior charity leaders to carry out their role with even greater confidence, her motto is: ‘strong governance maximises impact’.

Fran Borg-Wheeler, Heart-Centred Leaders
Fran has over 20 years experience in the charity sector, 13 of which were as CEO of a small youth charity. Through her business, Heart-Centred Leaders Ltd, Fran’s mission is to support charity leaders and their teams to boost their impact whilst thriving.
She is a leadership coach and mentor; course creator; workshop trainer and team away-day facilitator. She also supports charities via interim leadership roles and is a trustee of small charity, Radical Recruit.
